Well baby season is well and truly underway.  I have been busy with sales of nappy cakes and sock bouquets.  I have made a couple of nappy cakes to order.

 

The first was for another close friend of mine, she was expecting a little girl and I was involved with organising her baby shower.  Her cake was made out of baby bedding, including a cot bumper, cot quilt and cot fleece, baby vests, bibs, nappies and was topped off with a sock and scratch mit bouquet.  If this cake was for sale it would be priced at £75.00 plus P&P.

 

 

I was in charge of the games at the Baby Shower too.  We played the dirty nappy game, where I melted various bars of chocolates into nappies and you have to guess what type it was.  We also had a race to see who was the quickest to eat a jar of baby food fed to them by someone blind folded and I am embarased to say that my husband won that particular game!

 

The other baby cake was made to send to France for a new baby boy.  The client did not want any nappies in the cake so it was filled with bottles, a bottle warmer, baby grows, vests, bibs, a fleece blanket and feeding cloths.  It was topped with a soft toy and was decorated with sock rose buds.  This cake retails at £48.00 plus P&P.
